The Blood flew thick and heavy around the NFL the day before free agency was set to begin. To summarize, everyone was cut. Not really, but close. Notable veterans like Drew Bledsoe, Keenan McCardell, Jamal Lewis, Joey Porter, and others, were all released as teams readied cap dollars for the free agent onslaught to follow. The cut-throat aspects of the NFL and the non-guaranteed contract system really get exposure on days like this when long-time fan favorites like Joe Horn get released and blow up at their former team and coaching staff for doing so. Gotta love the business side of the NFL.
