One of the things that I've always lamented about our modern way of life is the unfulfilling manner for resolving disputes. Lawsuits are so ungratifying that most of the time it even leaves the winner without a true feeling of victory due to the hassle and time invested to get a financial judgement against the loser. The amount of the judgment is invariably too small to make much difference or large enough to make the guy file bankruptcy and avoid paying it. I wish I could have been alive during the days that people rode around on horses and settled disputes with sword fights. It looks like if I moved to Hilton Head, it would save me the effort and expense of building a time machine.
