In a month of April that saw two #1 and two #2 seeds make the Final Four, much of America wondered whether Cinderella was dead. She is not dead. She merely relocated to the world of the UFC where severe underdog Matt Serra dethroned untouchable champion Georges St. Pierre in their title bout. Serra was only granted the title shot as a result of a victory on the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter. Serra made the most of his shot with his incredible and stunning victory that left the entire MMA world in shock, especially those in the 170 lbs division. There, surely every quasi-contender is clamoring for a title shot at the heretofore regarded as average Matt Serra. Though he may not remain champ for long, today he is king. Tonight he sleeps the sleep of the just.
